Jesse White Tumblers Visit Lieb School

On February 22, Lieb School had the privilege of welcoming the Jesse White Tumblers to our school. Many thanks to the PTA for providing our wonderful second trimester PBIS celebration!

Our very own Mrs. Kulig and Mrs. Sheldon were lucky participants in the show which emphasizes hard work, persistence, and healthy living. The Jesse White Tumblers were established in 1959 by our Illinois Secretary of State: Jesse White. Mr. White was a high school athlete in the Chicago area (and went on to a two sport college career) and started the program as a healthy alternative for inner city children. All athletes in the program must stay away from gangs, drug, alcohol, stay in school and maintain a minimum “C” average. The team consists of male and female participants as young as age 6. The Jesse White Tumblers encapsulate the PBIS pillars and set a wonderful example for our students.
