
Students had so much fun at Celebration Day, yesterday! We thank the fire and police departments, the PTA, parent volunteers, Ms. Christianson, District Office (for the Kona truck) and staff for putting this day together. It was a memorable day.








Congratulations to our Kindergarten students who graduated Kdg this week! They've grown so much since they first arrived.



The Oak Lawn Library has so many fun summer things planned! Their Summer Reading Program, "Level Up at your Library" kicks off on June 1st. This video gamed theme program includes so many fun activities- even a foam party! Check out their website and facebook for more details.

1st-5th grade students received their third trimester awards today! Our academic and fitness awards were well received and students did a great job congratulating each other. We talked about summer goals and how to support them. Check out a further post about our Oak Lawn Library Summer Reading Program!


Oak Lawn Library came to visit today for a presentation about the Summer Reading Program. Lieb teachers encourage families to read this summer and the library is an incentive program to give prizes for reading. Sign up is coming soon on June 1st!


Our Lieb 4th graders did an amazing job with their Wax Museum! 🕯️✨ We celebrated and honored the accomplishments and resilience of so many important figures—so proud of their hard work and creativity!

Simmons Middle School Band and Choir performed for Lieb students on Friday. So much fun was had! It was a great way to end the week!

Congratulations to Mr. Hopson, students, and staff that assisted with our music concert this year! Students used a variety of instruments such as ukele's and even used bucket drums and scarves with dancing. It was a full house and so good to see everyone.







More pictures!!! .....Lieb's International Night last week was a HUGE success! Thank you to Ms. Jody and the 4th grade International Club for such a successful event. Many staff members volunteered their time as well to celebrate the diversity in our school! Families shared about their heritage and participated in many activities.

We had our first round of winners during IAR testing for our attendance/tardy raffle. Congratulations and thanks for being on time for school.


5th grade welcomed Ms. Devries' sister as a guest speaker, who is an AI engineer! She builds AI models that help doctors identify and prevent genetic diseases. Students had many questions to ask. What a treat!


Today, Officer Bill met with classes to discuss bicycle safety and other important tips! A few reminders:
1) Please walk bikes/scooters on school grounds
2) Always cross with a crossing guard
3) If you see something, say something. (Always tell a trusted adult.)
4) Communicate with grown-ups your whereabouts.


Lieb traveled to Chicago for their All School Field Trip last week to see the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Students explored "The Music of our Emotions" and listened to excerpts by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Prokofiev and more! Students were able to see some of the best musicians in the world. Fun was had by all!







Last week, Our K-3 students viewed a play/presentation from the "Land of Smiles", Delta Dental's Educational Program. Students learned the importance of dental hygiene and healthy foods!




Thanks Bridgeview Police Department for visiting Lieb this week to talk with grades 3,4,5 about preventing bullying. Your message of kindness, respect, and standing up for others will stay with our students as they continue to grow into responsible, compassionate individuals.



Thank you Dr. Don Parker for visiting grade 4 and 5 this week at Lieb to discuss the impact of words and teaching us all to think about what we say before we say it. We appreciate his message on showing kindness!



Enjoyed celebrating some of the early birds with hot chocolate that get to school at 7:50a.m. for our Eagle Enrichment Club.
