Here's a glimpse into our Kindergarten and 1st Grade Cheerleading Practice at Lieb! Students follow a call and response with Coach Salihar to refine movements/positions, build strength and coordination, and develop important teamwork skillls!
Students are loving our new Indoor Recess Games! Board games are a great way to build executive functioning such as improving focus, managing emotions, and organizing.

Congratulations to our Eagle Enrichment Program! These students and teachers worked so hard this semester to focus on specific skills in reading and math. We celebrated their growth this morning with donuts and Just Dance! Well deserved.
Lieb is loving our updated Lunch Cart Leadership Program! Students work together from other classes to safely transport lunch boxes back to classrooms for our younger students.
Lieb school finished passing out their 1st Trimester awards today. In addition to academic awards, awards were given based on attendance in November as well as if students completed the challenge of tying their own shoes! Congratulations to everyone.
We encourage the kids to start this Trimester 2 strong. We've got three weeks for this month's attendance challenge!
This week, a group of students (some not pictured here) received nominations for the Kulig/Kenis Kindness Crew!
These students were nominated by a staff member for our theme of "Kindness is our Superpower".
Also, students are working on our school's "Gratitude Garland". Students thank each other for the kind of a friend and the name and kind act gets put on the chain. Our goal is to wrap it around the whole school! Ask your child if they've gotten or given a gratitude strip :) Help us spread kindness.
Students celebrated Trimester 1 with an assembly at the end of the day!
4 students received the coveted Lieby Eagle for following our 3 PBIS expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. Students and staff played some Minute to Win it Games and won prizes. Students dressed up to support their teacher team that they thought was going to win the Hungry Hungry Hippo Tournament!
This week, our admin team visited the 4th grade classrooms to explore the similarities and differences in student identities. We had a great discussion about diversity, values, and holidays, and the students were eager to share their own special traditions! As we approach upcoming breaks, we talked about how we can honor and respect each other even though we are all different. To add to the winter vibe, some of the teachers even posted a "burning fireplace" on their board! The students did an AMAZING job, and the conversations were truly inspiring and humbling. A big thank you to Ms. McMahon, Ms. O'Malley, Ms. Zugaj, Ms. Rangel, and Mr. Kooyman's classes!
Thank you Superintendent Matise and district office staff for the coffee truck. It was a HUGE hit with the staff. Appreciate the morning boost!
Thank-you to Lieb staff and families that came out to our PTA Culver's night fundraiser. The proceeds go directly back to your child and the fun activities the PTA provides here at Lieb school.
