5th Grade Lieb Flag Football Club

Congratulations to Ms. Svec, Ms. Ferrel, & Ms. Cockrell! They received a special t-shirt from our instructional coaches for going above & beyond with their instructional practices. They were 3 of 6 teachers to receive this special surprise today in the whole district!
On Monday, 4th grade students had their Wax Museum! Students researched notable, historical or current figures and presented a short script. Lieb students and families enjoyed listening and watching the students!
This year, students helped chart and graph the progress of the Lieb Math Interventionist butterflies! They were released today into the wild. They seem to be sticking around... You may see them at the front of the school!
Lieb's 3rd grade students had so much fun at their in-school field trip today, "Skin-n-bones"!

Thank you again to all who came to support our Spring Music Concert! The kids did a great job singing. It was so neat to hear so many different songs in different languages and with different instruments/materials (ukelele, recorder, scarves, etc.)
Today was the PTA Scholastic Book Fair! Students had a blast!
Tomorrow is the last day to shop. Students will get one more quick opportunity tomorrow morning if they forgot money today.

4th Grade Classrooms had a visitor from the Cook County Agriculture in the Classroom Program! Students learned about normal household and school products that come from the agriculture field, jobs in agriculture, equipment such as combines and drones and so much more!

We celebrated our 5th Grade Girls Basketball Team today on their district championship with an all school assembly. Congratulations!
Our PTA purchased a basketball for each homeroom as a behavior incentive for the month of March. Our March Madness competition looked for students who were showing "perseverance".
Our PTA purchased a few games/items for each homeroom for their "unstructured learning time". These games help develop executive functioning and will be played daily by students. THANK YOU for your generosity, PTA!
Our PTA was so busy before Spring Break! PTA room parents held some awesome Spring Activities in the classrooms!
