A second day time custodian will be added to each school to focus on cleaning and disinfecting throughout the school day
An independent consultant was retained to review existing cleaning procedures and make modifications necessary in light of COVID-19
Each classroom will have hand sanitizing stations or sinks for students and staff use
Each classroom will also have hand sanitizing wipes for students and staff
Hand sanitizing locations will also be placed throughout the common areas, such as entrances and hallways
The district has purchased new cleaning equipment to enhance cleaning and disinfecting – Clarke All-Purpose Cleaning Cart to power wash and deep clean bathrooms and Karchner Disinfectant Mister
Existing heating and cooling will continue to circulate outdoor fresh air and the frequency of filter changes will be increased
ISBE Mandate – All students and staff will wear masks when in the building in accordance with the guidance of IDPH
Additional PPE will be available to staff and students as needed
Daily Temperature checks are required of all students and staff
Daily protocol of In person and Self Certification of COVID-19 check list items will be observed

Space between each individual in the school to the greatest extent possible
Classrooms and other common spaces will be arranged so that students face same direction
Markings and signage will be utilized to maintain appropriate distance when students line up and travel throughout the hallways
Movement of students and staff within the school will be minimized
All staff will receive training from Global Compliance Network on COVID-19 and proper handwashing techniques
Families will be able to choose between the two models for the first trimester. Children screened, accepted, and enrolled in the program will receive a survey. You must complete a survey for each child attending preschool.
You may change models after the first trimester. Please note: families choosing to remote learn will be remote learning for the entire first Trimester which ends November 6th. However, families choosing in person learning can switch to remote learning at any time.
The requirement from the Illinois State Board of Education is 2 Hours of Instruction for all students no matter which model is chosen.
